Congratulations all on a brilliant student concert!

Our October student concert was a heartwarming display of dedication, talent, and growth, as each young performer shared their unique musical voice with the audience.

The afternoon opened with Willow on violin, captivating everyone with Paganini's Carnival of Venice. Her nimble technique and musicality brought this challenging piece to life, setting an impressive tone for the rest of the performances. Xavier followed on piano with Beethoven's Ecossaise, a lively piece that showed many months of hard work and practice.

Adding a modern flair, Darian sang for us, delivering soulful renditions of Count on Me by Bruno Mars and Make You Feel My Love by Adele. His expressiveness and heartfelt delivery was a delight to behold in such a young performer. On piano, Rhea brought her joyful energy to Jazzy Joe, My Pony, and Dinosaur Stomp, filling the room with smiles as she played each piece with infectious enthusiasm.

Zoe then charmed us all on violin with her graceful interpretation of Allegro Moderato by Friedrich Seitz. Her elegant phrasing allowed the piece’s playful character to shine beautifully. On top of some gorgeous playing, it happened to also be her birthday! We all celebrated with some oreo cupcakes and a rousing, full crowd rendition of Happy Birthday.

Taking us into a world of calm, Sterling performed Clair de Lune on piano, capturing Debussy's serene, haunting beauty with gentle touch and thoughtful expression.

Our first and only guitarist for the afternoon, Elyshan, brought excitement with his rendition of Hall of the Mountain King by Grieg. His confident, dynamic playing built suspense and energy, keeping everyone captivated. Rhythm, one of our newest students, enchanted us with Howl’s Moving Castle by Joe Hisaishi on violin, playing with sensitivity and warmth that brought out the piece’s magical charm.

Piano player Iris took us on a delightful journey with The Pipers Are Coming, Mountain Climbing, and Little Bo-Peep. Her playful, expressive style brought each piece to life, showcasing her growing artistry, not to mention a bow worthy of any diva! Finally, Amanda closed the concert on piano with The Trombone Player by John Thompson, a light-hearted and rhythmic piece that filled the room with smiles and laughter.

Congratulations everyone on a magnificent afternoon, and on conquering any nerves you may have experienced prior to getting up and performing! It is an absolute pleasure to see you all developing into unique musicians, we can't wait to see what's next!
