  • Term 4 Makeups

Hi everyone, just a quick note to let you know makeup slots are now live on the portal. Login to book, or let me know if you need any help. A gentle recommendation to book sooner rather than later if you're keen on getting a lesson or two in, as slots tend to fill up as term progresses. As always, makeups don't expire so if there's nothing suitable now, you can hold onto the makeup credit to book later, or even let me know what you're after and I can make a note on the waiting list to get in touch if it becomes available. Thanks, - Sarah

  • Changes to Student Concert Structure

Hello parents and performers! A quick update about our concert on Saturday; due to an abundance of participation we will be splitting the concert into 2 parts. This will mean more room to spread out and be covid safe in each half, and nice quick run times for audience members. Ie. It's half as long for 2 groups rather than one big slog for one large group. To keep things running smoothly and efficiently, we will now only be selling tickets by pre / post purchase via the same banking details you use for lesson payments. This will limit delays at the door both at the start, and at changeover time. Tickets Now that we have a bit more space thanks to the split, you can bring as many people as you'd like! Performers are free, audience members over 3 years old will be $10 each. Please simply send $10 x the number of audience members you are bringing. I will have a door list on the day with the number of tickets pre purchased & what name they're under for fast entry. For those who prefer to pay after, I will simply make a note on the day and you can send it later on. Preparation Guitarists and violinists - please ensure you have tuned and are ready to go before the performance has started. A quick check right before you play is absolutely fine, but we will not have time for full tuning once the run has started. Singers and pianists - please warm up and do your final run-throughs at home, there is no backstage at this venue. Parking Please be mindful not to park anyone in when choosing your space, this will be particularly important now that we will have people both arriving AND leaving at the midway point. The address again is Wesley Church in the Friendship Room 32-34 Showground Rd, Castle Hill NSW 2154. I will contact everyone privately regarding which section they are in, I'd advise coming 10 to 15 mins before 2pm if you're in the first section and 10 to 15 mins before 2.30pm if you're in the 2nd section. I absolutely cannot wait to see all of your wonderful performances, and hope you have an amazing day!

  • Student Concert

Hi Everyone, a quick update for the student concert - we have a date and venue! Details: We'll be holding the end of term 3 concert at Wesley Church in the Friendship Room (32-34 Showground Rd, Castle Hill NSW 2154) on Saturday the 24th at 2pm, doors will open around 1.30. There is plenty of parking with access to two areas via either Showground road or Werthing Ave. Tickets: Performers are free, audience members over 3 years old will be $10 each. You can buy tickets in advance by transferring to the same account used for fees, (I'll put the details below) I'll note down the number of tickets and name for quick entry when you get there based on this transfer. You can buy at the door using cash or card - please have correct cash if using this option as I won't have change. Registration: The room has a capacity of roughly 40, in order to make sure we all fit please let me know by Friday the 9th Sept if you're intending on coming. You don't have to be totally ready with your piece(s) by this date, just letting me know you're planning on performing will greatly help the smooth running of the afternoon. Changes after this are of course ok, but I'll be making arrangements (eg. do we have enough to run the concert / do we need to run two sessions etc) based on the info I get before this date. I encourage all students at every level to take part if they are at all interested, performance really develops you as an artist like nothing else. Think 10 practice sessions in one, where everyone applauds you at the end! It's also a great way to prepare for an exam or other audition; "I know I can do this because I've done it before!" is immensely valuable. Please let me know once you know what pieces you'll be presenting; - Title - Composer - Instrument - special requirements I'm keeping a google doc open with the info, which can be changed / updated as needed. Thanks all, - Sarah
